Here are some items you'll want to be sure to bring with you:


1. Current California Title

The California Title is crucial, so there are some items you’ll want to take into consideration:

If you paid off a previous loan on the vehicle but the Title suggests otherwise, you will need both the Title AND Lien Release from the bank before doing business with us.

If there is a lien on the car, we will need to contact your lien holder during our business hours to work out a fiftteen-day payoff. To do so, we’ll need three things:

  • Your lien holder’s name and phone number
  • The name(s) on the account
  • The account holder’s account and social security numbers

To make the sale, one registered owner must be present, and “or” must be between your names; using an “and” or “/” entails you both be present at the time of the sale.

In the case of a deceased title holder, you will need to go through the process of transferring the title to your name before joining us, and in the case of you selling a vehicle on behalf of a business, you’ll need to see a business office associate for the requirements.

2. Valid and Current California Registration

The registration is proof you are the vehicle’s owner; just ensure your documentation is up-to-date for us.

3. Photo ID

All registered owners will need to prove their identity with a valid state-issued photo ID.

4. Owner’s Manual

You might understand all your car’s bells and whistles but the new owner may not. Make life easier for them by leaving behind the owner’s manual in the glove box.

5. Keys and Remote

Replacing keys can be pretty pricey, so be sure to bring all the keys you have.

  1. In order for Temecula Hyundai to purchase your vehicle, you must have all required state and federal documents to legally make a transfer to us. Whether you don't have all the documents or you still need to do some research, we reserve the right to cancel an offer, or at least postpone the purchase until you get everything in order.

  3. When you make a purchase, we issue a company check. Banks will typically place a hold on checks of up to 10 business days. Be sure to verify with your bank about their hold policy to avoid any confusion.

  5. Any negative equity you will need to pay to us in the form of a cashier's check, certified funds or cash, that is unless the negative equity can be included in the amount you are financing to purchase another car from us. A credit card can be use but only for negative equity under $500.
   

Additional Information

   
  1. The written offer we provide you is based both on the car AND any additional equipped that is installed or included with the car. Should you wish to remove any of this equipment, your appraisal may be voided.
  2. The written offer for your vehicle will not change for seven days or 150 miles. After that time is up, you vehicle will need to be reappraised and your offer may change. Our written offer assumes that the condition of the vehicle does not change, that we may obtain a clear title, and that no undisclosed conditions are affecting the vehicle.
